The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is seeking people who have personal experience with homelessness and behavioral health conditions (serious mental illness [SMI] and/or substance use disorder [SUD]) and would like to share their expertise on its Behavioral Health Bridge Housing (BHBH) Program People with Lived Experience (PWLE) Expert Panel. Panel members will actively provide input and guidance in the implementation of the BHBH Program, including sharing experiences and thoughts, helping develop BHBH Program materials such as training and education resources, providing feedback, and supporting quality improvement. No prior experience with programs, training and education, or data is necessary. DHCS envisions a PWLE Expert Panel that is diverse across races and ethnicities, ages, geographic regions, sexual and gender identities, and abilities, and is reflective of California. Panelists will be compensated for their time.
